On 19 August 2024, the USF Chapter of the United Faculty of Florida hosted a workshop on artificial intelligence at USF. Here are the slides from the introduction to the meeting.
At the July 2024 Representative Assembly of the National Education Association, the Task Force on Artificial Intelligence in Education delivered a report, and the Assembly then approved a Policy Statement on Artificial Intelligence in Education.
At the 10 May 2024 bargaining session between the USF Chapter of the United Faculty of Florida and the USF Administration, the UFF Bargaining Chair made some introductory remarks concerning Generative Artificial Intelligence and proposed a https://uff.ourusf.org/bargaining/Bargaining_2024/Final%20UFF-USF%20MOU%20GAI%2005-10-24.pdf to launch a joint UFF-USF Administration task for to look into the impact of artificial intelligence on the Collective Bargaining Agreement: the Administration team rejected the proposal. The issue was discussed in the 16 May 2024 Biweekly.
