Time and place. The meeting was conducted at 12 noon on USF Tampa in EDU 415 and on Zoom.
Attendance. Nine members, and one staff.
Minutes. June 5 minutes approved.
President’s report.
- CBA. The CBA has been signed via DocuSign. Printing copies for all members will cost approximately four thousand dollars, as will sending it by USPS to home addresses. However, sending it to campus addresses via Campus Mail will cost $60. Copies of the CBA will be accompanied by a letter; discussion.
- Chapter certification. PERC may change the required format of SOI cards. The Chapter will consider a special meeting on June 10 to have volunteers alphabetize the cards; discussion. We may want to send SOI cards to employees who have not sent in cards; discussion.
- Inquiry from the College of Pharmacy. President Lang will meet with them next week.
- Course releases. Several union activists allocated course releases have been told that they will be teaching the full load in fall, with the implication that their allocated course release will not be honored. Per motion June 5, unless FEA legal indicates the contrary, the Chapter will grieve.
New Business.
- Chapter meetings. Because of low in-person turnout, regular chapter meetings this summer will be Bring-Your-Own-Lunch. However, if the UFF office indicates the utility of alphabetizing the SOI cards, we will have lunch on June 10 and have attending volunteers alphabetize the cards.
Reports.
- Membership. We will ask liaisons for plans for fall activities.
- Publicity. We have approximately 140 Facebook group members and 250 Instagram followers.
- Treasury. We are solvent.
- Government Relations. We need a committee chair.
