President’s Report & Essential Issues.
- Budget Cuts.
Discussion. There are a lot of angry reactions to the announcement that the College of Education will be cut. UFF has asked for information about the budget, and has not received a response. - Impact of the election on Florida and the USA.
Discussion. The impact is unclear at this point. - USF’s Covid-19 Situation.
UF has a test case on its reopening requirement for classroom teaching. - UFF USF has a You-Tube channel.
Videos of presentations at UFF USF town halls will be posted at our new You-Tube channel. - USFSP and USFSM.
There has been some discussion of combining Marine Science and Environmental Science at USFSP.
Committee Reports.
- Grievance Committee.
We are getting reports of non-renewals, academic freedom, people added to courses via Canvas, etc. - Membership.
We need volunteers - Treasury.
We are solvent. - Collective Bargaining.
We are working on proposals.
