President’s Report & Essential Issues.
- Meetings with legislators.
The FEA Government Relations Committee meets with legislators, and met the previous week with Jeff Brandes. High points from Mr. Brandes: the Legislature is waiting on the Federal government to see if more money is forthcoming; if there is a deficit, there will be an effort to protect K-12 education, possibly at the expense of higher education, possibly by raising tuition; the Legislature expects urban universities to continue to produce professionals, particularly teachers; there is a feeling that program disruption at USF was more severe than at other institutions. - Courses in Spring.
Courses may be forced online by a surge.
New Business.

Academic Analytics has errors and transparency problems. - Chapter Election.
The Chapter shall conduct an election of officers and representatives this spring.- Motion made and seconded that the Election Committee shall consist of Kerry Myers, Cynthia Patterson, and Debbie Sinclair. Motion passed.
