Time and place. The meeting was conducted at 12 noon on USF Tampa in EDU161.

Attendance. 12 members and one guest.

Minutes. May 17 minutes approved.

President’s Report.

  • ULP Update. Several outstanding ULPs, one of which should be heard in May.
  • Constitution and Bylaws. We need a parliamentarian.
  • USF Board of Trustees. The Board will meet on June 4.
  • Old Office Records. Lang and Shapiro cleaned out the office. Most of the old files were grievances.
  • Action Builder. The software settings need adjustment.

Committee Reports.

  • Membership. The Committee is organizing the following:
    • Restarting the fellows program.
    • Snailmail to former members who did not sign up for eDues and subsequently to non-members who signed Showing of Interest cards.
    • Socials.
  • Grievances. We have an extraordinary number of grievances; in addition, the state office is dealing with half a dozen major litigations, which is extraordinary. HR here and at school districts are giving bad advice on sick leave and FMLA.
  • Treasury. We are solvent.
  • Government Relations. This summer, we will seek to visit local legislators.
  • Collective Bargaining. Discussion.

Good of the Order. We understand that the governor instructed the university presidents how to deal with student protesters. NCF sent out false information about student protesters.
