Time and place. The meeting was conducted at 12 noon on USF Tampa in EDU 415 and on Zoom.
Attendance. 17 members and two staff..

President’s Report.
- New officers, representatives, chairs. The President welcomes newcomers and thanks departing incumbents for their service.
- AAUP Day of Action. The Chapter held a social on April 17 and will undertake the following schedule of socials:
- May. Members are encouraged to attend end of term meetings.
- June. The USF Board of Trustees is meeting on June 4, so the Chapter will plan a lunch for members to discuss dealing with the Board. Note. PERC recently ruled that faculty are employees of the USF Board of Trustees, not the SUS Board of Governors.
- July. Family-oriented social associated with the Rowdies or the Rays.
- August TBD.
- September. On Labor Day, September 2, the West Central Florida Federation of Labor will hold a picnic. The Chapter will purchase tickets for members who wish to attend.
- November. Tailgate at the USF-FAU game.

- Certification. PERC has received our cards.
- Litigation Report. There is a new Unfair Labor Practice complaint.
New Business
- Membership. (Adriana Novoa) Discussion of informal consultations with the Vice Provost. Discussion of an unsuccessful attempt to rename some courses. Report that many faculty are afraid of state intrusion into their classrooms and scholarship. Discussion of chapter publicity.
Reports.
- Government Relations. (Rayman) Members are asked to seek appointments with local legislators this summer.
- Bargaining. (Manning) Bargaining dates May 10 & 31. Discussion..
Addenda.
- Compensation and External Funding. The union has received reports that some faculty on external funding have not received the compensation that the funding agency allocated to them. This matter is to be investigated.
- Resignation. Vice President Adriana Novoa announces that she is resigning and submits a resignation letter in CHAT. Discussion.
