There has been some misinformation about bargaining going around, and UFF USF Chief Negotiator Robert Welker sent the following letter to the Provost.
Dear Provost Wilcox:
I take no pleasure in sending this e-mail to you, but "fake news" has apparently found its way to the University of South Florida. I keep receiving reports that individuals with administrative assignments are parroting the claim that the United Faculty of Florida cancels collective bargaining sessions and is not engaging in collective bargaining, nothing could be further from the truth. To set the record straight the only collective bargaining session that has been cancelled was done so by the university and the United Faculty of Florida has made more than 24 collective bargaining proposals.
Regards,
Robert F. Welker
as Chief Negotiator of the USF Chapter of the United Faculty of Florida
UFF has been made over 24 proposals (and a new Memorandum of Understanding on the Covid situation - that has not elicited any response) since November 2020, and proposals are posted at the UFF USF Bargaining Page in reverse chronological order. Meanwhile, the UFF and USF Administration bargaining teams are meeting next Friday afternoon in SVC 2070.

Many of our students are struggling during this crisis, and the USF Foundation is supporting the USF Food Pantries to help out. They are accepting non-perishable donations, but one can also make monetary donations for the pantries at St. Petersburg, Sarasota / Manatee, and Tampa.
