February 8 Chapter Meeting Starts at 11 am in USF St. Petersburg

The next UFF USF Chapter Meeting has been rescheduled to meet at 11 am. We will meet at the USF St. Petersburg campus, room TBA.

Call for Nominations

The UFF USF Chapter strongly encourages dues paying UFF members to run in the coming chapter elections.

For information on the offices and representative seats, see the 24 January 2013 Biweekly. For those UFF members interested in becoming active and learning what UFF is all about, we encourage members to consider running for a UFF Senate seat; senators will attend the UFF (statewide) senate during two weekends in the 2013-2014 academic year - in Tampa and/or Orlando.

The nomination form is posted online; download it, fill it in using a word processor, and email it to the Election Chair. All nominations (and self-nominations are encouraged) and all nomination materials are due by February 15; in addition, one must be a UFF member by February 15 in order to run and/or vote.

Download, fill in, and mail the membership form. Benefits of membership include the right to run and vote in UFF chapter and statewide elections; representation in grievances (UFF cannot represent a non-member in a grievance or litigation); special deals in insurance, travel, legal advice, and other packages provided by our affiliates; free insurance coverage for job-related liability; and the knowledge you are supporting education in Florida. AND YOU CAN JOIN NOW AND AFTER A TERM AS A DUES PAYING MEMBER, YOU WILL RECEIVE A $ 100 REBATE. Come and join the movement.
