Tailgate Social for UFF Members and Families

(but you can join UFF and come to the Social!)

The Faculty Union is hosting a tailgate for members, family and friends at the November 23rd football game between USF and UCF at the Raymond James Stadium. Tailgate will start four hours before the game. More details to come!

This event is free for UFF members, and you can join by filling in the membership form form and emailing it to us.

Please note: UFF doesn't provide tickets to the game; please get those on your own. You can buy game tickets from USF Bulls Tickets or Ticketmaster or your favorite vendor. Grab tickets soon, as the game will likely be a sellout!

Appeal for Schools Hit by Hurricane Michael

Michael may not be in the news much lately, but the Panhandle is still recovering. Our state affiliate, the Florida Education Association, has sent out the following appeal.

We have partnered with First Book, the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association, to bring much-needed supplies and materials to educators and their students who have lost classrooms and entire schools to Michael. Beginning Friday, November 9th, a dedicated donation page will be available for all who wish to donate to the effort to bring books, teaching materials and supplies to the 11 schools in the Panhandle that have either been severely damaged or destroyed as a result of Hurricane Michael in Bay County, Gulf County, and Calhoun County. Educators in the impacted schools have created wish lists and all donated funds will be distributed to them to redeem for the materials and supplies they choose from the First Book Marketplace. The items they order are delivered directly to them.

Our goal is to conduct fundraising through the beginning of December and distribute the funds collected to the educators by December 15th.
