The UFF USF Chapter conducted its annual election, and here are the preliminary results:

  • Steve Lang was elected to another term as Vice President.
  • Greg McColm was elected to another term as Secretary.
  • Sonia Wohlmuth was elected to another term as Treasurer.
  • USF was assigned 21 UFF Senate seats. President Art Shapiro serves ex officio. There were twelve write-in candidates, and the remaining two seats will be assigned to willing candidates in the order of the number of votes received - ties being broken by lot.
  • USF was assigned seven FEA Assembly seats. Greg McColm, Steve Permuth, Art Shapiro, and Milton Wendland were elected. There were eighteen write-in candidates, and the remaining three seats will be assigned to willing candidates in the order of the number of votes received - ties being broken by lot.
The remaining Senate and Assembly seats shall be determined during the coming week and finalized at the next chapter meeting. We thank all those who participated by running for office or for seats, or by voting. And we thank Sara Dykins Callahan for serving as Election Chair.

The United Faculty of Florida is a participatory democracy, but it needs people to participate.
