The United Faculty of Florida bargains the contract between most USF faculty and professionals, and the USF System Board of Trustees; the United Faculty of Florida also enforces the contract and protects the rights of USF faculty and professionals. To join the movement,  download the membership form, fill it in and and mail it to PO Box 30238, USF-Tampa via campus mail.

Election 2012

The fall 2012 election will be critical at all levels, local, state, and federal, and we strongly encourage everyone to get involved.

Get Registered and Get Out the Vote.

The last two years have seen the greatest concerted effort to discourage voting since the abolition of the Jim Crow laws in the 1960s.  This fall, it is especially important to get registered in time.  DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED: MAKE SURE.

State and Local Elections.

The radical and irresponsible behavior of the last legislature calls for major reforms - and more responsible candidates willing to support education.  Meanwhile, we are all too often negligent about local elections.  But city councils, judges, school boards, county commissions, and other local officials have a powerful effect on our lives.  Take the time to study the candidates carefully.
