We have a Facebook page!  Check out United Faculty of Florida at USF.  It is public (so anyone - students, colleagues, the provost - and read it) and all UFF members are eligible to join the group that posts items on it.  The page serves as a forum for UFF members to share issues and interests.  Check it out!

Patrician Pettijohn, candidate
Senator, Delegate

Information: I have worked as both staff and faculty, at the Tampa campus (FMHI Research Library) and at the USFSP library since 2001. I have served on the USFSP Faculty Senate, the System Faculty Council, as well as numerous faculty governance committees.
I believe that a strong faculty union is required to achieve meaningful faculty governance, and to recruit and retain diverse and exemplary faculty. We must work to increase the percentage of union membership in the next few years to reach majority membership, or we will lose the union. I would like to see the union improve communication and present more substantive meetings. I would like to see more chapter meetings at both USFSP and USF Sarasota.
