Chapter Meeting Next Week

The next UFF USF Chapter Meeting will be on Friday, May 15, at 12 noon, in CDB Restaurant in Tampa, at 5104 E. Fowler Ave., on the intersection of 51st and Fowler just east of USF Tampa. There will be pizza, salad, and beer. All UFF USF employees are invited. Check us out. Bring a colleague.

Benefits of membership include the right to run and vote in UFF chapter and statewide elections; representation in grievances (UFF cannot represent a non-member in a grievance or litigation); special deals in insurance, travel, legal advice, and other packages provided by our affiliates; free insurance coverage for job-related liability; and the knowledge you are supporting education in Florida. Come and join the movement.

Meanwhile, one of our affiliates is conducting its annual food drive this weekend. Food banks inform us that donations now are timely, as the cupboards are bare. Just leave some canned or other nonperishables by your mailbox to be picked up. For more information, see their website.

Membership: Everyone in the UFF USF System Bargaining unit is eligible for UFF membership: to join, simply fill out and send in the membership form.
