UFF CANNOT REPRESENT A NON-MEMBER IN A GRIEVANCE OR FUTURE LITIGATION. And if you join UFF by December 9, you will receive a $ 300 dues rebate in spring; it's never been easier to join the movement.

SURVEY OF THE POLY FACULTY

From October 5 to 24, the USF Chapter of UFF conducted a mail survey of all 61 faculty and professionals in the UFF USF Bargaining Unit at USF Polytechnic. 35 responded. The first question was: "As an in-unit employee, do you support the current initiative to remove USF Polytechnic from the USF System to become the 12th independent university?" Of the 35 respondents, three wrote "yes", 27 wrote "no", three were "neutral", and two were "undecided".

As stated in the survey's cover letter, the results and written comments were shared with USF System administrators in a packet sent to USF System President Genshaft, which was soon circulating through email. Because media interest rose in the survey, UFF also issued a press release.

UFF is monitoring the situation very carefully, and will defend the contractual rights and privileges of USF faculty and professionals at USF Polytechnic.
